Ina Garten, an American writer of cookery cookbooks and Emmy Award-winning host of the Food Network's most popular program, Barefoot Contessa which began broadcasting in 2002 has 27 seasons to 2020. Ina began her writing career by writing nuclear energy policies and budgets to the White House. In the beginning, she found her work to be intellectually stimulating, but eventually lost interest and purchased a tiny speciality store for food known as Barefoot Contessa. Prior to selling the company it took her more than 18 years building it to an extremely successful business. In the following years, numerous cookbooks were published and she also contributed to magazine articles. Meanwhile, her Food Network show was also a success. The company also offers a wide range of product from cooking ingredients as well as storage containers and equipment. Ina has never attended a cookery school nor did she work in a dining establishment. She is entirely self-taught. Ina is well-known for her unpretentious style of entertainment as well as her simple cooking. Her most popular recipes include Skillet-Roasted lemon chicken, Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & Cheese Beef Bouguignon, balsamic-roasted Brussels Sprouts & Lemon Bars.
