Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights advocate, writer also a model, actor and author. She has been acclaimed by films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) as well as The Getaway, (1972). In New York, she was born and brought up in an artistic family. Her first job was as an assistant to photographers. Then she moved on to modelling and acting. MacGraw was noticed in her two first films and was awarded the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising newcomer. MacGraw quickly became famous in the year 1970 following her hit movie Love Story. She was considered for nomination to an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. Within just three short films she was the highest-rated female box-office star worldwide. Her footprints, handwritten in 1972 as well as her signature were inscribed at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. The other films she's appeared in are The Getaway Convoy Players as and the television miniseries The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography, of hers came out. MacGraw is divorced three times.
